We process the following personal data:

  • Registration/Login: Email address, name, password (stored encrypted)
  • Dealer profile: Company name, address, phone number, logo
  • Vehicle listings: Vehicle data, photos, prices
  • Contact inquiries: Name, email, phone number, message text
  • Favorites: Saved vehicle IDs (logged-in users only)
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, access times (server logs)

4. Cookies

This website uses the following cookies:

  • Session cookie (hejel_session): Technically necessary for using the website. Deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Language preference (hejel_lang): Stores your preferred language. Valid for 1 year.
  • Remember me (hejel_remember): Enables automatic login. Valid for 30 days. Optional.
  • Cookie consent (motoryx_consent): Stores your cookie preference. Valid for 1 year.

5. Google Analytics

If you consent to all cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to analyse website usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and transmits usage data to Google servers. We have enabled IP anonymisation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the "motoryx_consent" cookie in your browser settings.

6. AI Scanner & Vehicle Queries

Motoryx offers an AI-powered document scanner and vehicle queries (EuroCheck):

  • Scanned documents: Uploaded images are stored for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted.
  • Processing logs: Logs are kept for a maximum of 7 days.
  • License plate/VIN queries: EuroCheck queries are logged and automatically deleted after 7 days.
  • No owner data: Only vehicle technical data is retrieved (make, model, fuel type, power, etc.). No personal owner/holder data is stored.

7. Messaging System

Motoryx provides an encrypted messaging system for communication between interested parties and dealers:

  • Processed data: Name, email address (optionally hidden), phone number (optional), message content
  • Encryption: All message contents are stored encrypted in the database using Sodium XSalsa20-Poly1305
  • Email notifications: Email notifications are sent for new messages. You can reply directly via email
  • Retention period: Messages are stored for the duration of the business relationship
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)

Under the EU GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR / Section 45 DPA 2018)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR / Section 46 DPA 2018)

9. Data Security

We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers. Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt. Messages in the messaging system are protected with Sodium encryption.
